Holiday Harvest Farmers Market on the Farm - SUN, 18 DEC, 11 - 2

Posted 12/11/2016 8:07pm by David Paulk.

 Happy Holidays Farm Friends!

We've decided to have one last farmer's market ON OUR FARM (in our new barn) Sunday, 18 Dec.; 11am - 2pm so that you can enjoy our fresh, organic vegetables for your holiday meals.  We will send you an email Friday, 16 Dec. with exactly what veggies we'll have, but we expect to have:

- Arugula

- Beets

- Brussels Sprouts

- Carrots

- Celery

- Chard

- Jerusalem Artichokes

- Kale (Curly and Lacinato)

- Salad Mix

- Radishes (French Breakfast & Red)

- Spinach

- Sweet Potatoes (Covington, Beauregard, Muraski)

- Japanese "Hakurei" Turnips

Swampfox Farm (our friends from BAE Famers' Market) will also be on our farm selling their delicious, pasture-raised, chickens! There's nothing like roast chicken and vegetables for a satisfying dinner with family and friends visiting over the holidays. Please go to our Web site for simple, tasty recipes for all of our produce: www.sassafrascreekfarm.com/recipe.

The market will be in a covered space, so don't worry if it is a little rainy or snowy on market day. We'll provide a weather update on Friday, 16 Dec. with the rest of the details, such as farm address and parking.

Thank you,

David & Jennifer Paulk
