California Farmers Market is Open! Saturday, 9 AM - 1 PM

Hello Farm Friends,

We have fresh lettuce, beets, arugula, cucumbers and some new veggies and summer plants for sale! See complete list below. Come out with family and friends and stock up on your fresh, organic, flavorful and nutritious veggies for the week!

What we'll have at market tomorrow (photos below):

- Garlic, FRESH Huge Softneck (New!)  LORZ ITALIAN - Heirloom variety brought to WA state from Italy. Has some heat and good flavor.  

- Garlic, FRESH Large Hardneck (New!)  ROMANIAN RED - Brought to British Columbia from Romania. Cloves streaked and lined on buff brown background. Pungent garlic flavor.

- Green Leaf Lettuce (New!):  fresh and leafy!

- Sunflower Plants ("Lemon Queen") (New!): lemon yellow petals surround chocolate brown centers. Multiple heads per plant (7 ft tall).

- Sweet Banana Pepper Plants (New!):  Produces sweet peppers that mature from green, to orange to red and are great raw or cooked.

Arugula:  We have loads of fresh, spring arugula with a mild kick.

- Beets: Three varieties to try, Golden, Red and Chioggia

- Rainbow Chard:  Beautiful, glossy leaves and colorful stems. They have just as many nutrients as kale, and you can eat the sweet, crunchy stems when sauteed! Try sauteed with golden raisins (or chopped sweet onion) and lightly toasted pine nuts.

- Japanese Cucumbers:  We have plenty of your favorite, long, sweet, small-seeded cukes!  These are very similar to English cucumbers. Great in salads, quick frig pickle (see recipe on Web site) or make refreshingly cool cucumber water (not just for the spa).

- Green Beans (limited quantity): Traditional yummy, late spring green beans.

- Romaine Lettuce:  Crisp, fresh lettuce makes a perfect salad. See our Web site for easy, homemade salad dressing recipes. 

- Onions, Red:  Freshly-harvested, sweet red onions! Great raw on burgers, grilled or saute with vegetables.

- Onions, Yellow:  Freshly-harvested, versatile yellow onions!

- Plants for Sale! Sweet Oranos Pepper, and Shishito Pepper Plants

- Summer Squash (Zucchini & Zephyr): We have plenty of these two delicious varieties of summer squash. Great sauteed, steamed or cooked on the grill. 

We take cash, credit and debit cards.

The market has additional vegetable vendors, as well as beef, pork, chicken, eggs, and baked goods. 

So, we hope to see you, your friends and family members on Saturday (BAE parking lot, 9am - 1pm). We hope that you are all doing well.
